Sustainable Quality Management

SMMY31, 7,5 credits

The course aims to provide students with theoretical and conceptual knowledge and practical skills for managing and sustaining quality in organizational contexts.

The course consists of three parts. The first part introduces the historical development and evolutions of managing quality in organizational contexts. In the second part the students are introduced to key concepts, definitions, strategies, processes, tools, methods, and various managerial models for managing and maintaining quality. The third part covers assessment and measurement aspects of various organizational key processes and activities for managing and sustaining quality.

Some of the key elements which will be covered through the course are among others, definitions, principles, business models for strategic quality management, self-assessment method for diagnosing and improving quality.
