About the Department
of Service Studies
The Department of Service Studies is a successful unit for education and research within service organisations. We offer management education with a cutting edge competence in retail, health, logistics, supply chain management, sustainability, culture and creativity, tourism and hotels. Our courses are developed in collaboration with leading industry companies and organisations. We are a part of Lund University at the dynamic Campus Helsingborg.
Service Management programmes at bachelor and master level
Our education and research focuses on customer service organizations, especially in fast-growing service-intensive industries. The department currently has two bachelor's programmes and one master's programme. Our goal is to be the premier option for those seeking an internationally viable, multidisciplinary leadership and management education. A wide-depth learning with a clear profile towards the services sector and the service society.
More than ten subject disciplines under the same roof
Research activities at the department are developing rapidly. We are a department of internationally competitive and high-quality research in service studies. The department's teachers, professors and doctoral students contribute with research expertise from more than ten subject disciplines. The department also has a third cycle programme with PhD students in the field of service studies. We strive to be a research-intensive institution with top-level research in service studies. We also work closely with companies and organizations. We want to be the obvious partner for service companies and organizations in terms of education and research.

The Department of Service Studies is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Lund University. We have been a part of Campus Helsingborg since the start in 2000 and we are a successful and interdisciplinary unit for education, research and contract education.
