Women’s Voices in Tourism Research

Book cover

In the new book "Women's Voices in Tourism Research", more than 90 women tourism researchers from all over the world have contributed chapters about their research. The book provides an overview of tourism as a field of research and aims to showcase the many contributions women have made to tourism research. The idea is also to serve as a collective mentoring platform where today’s generation of women tourism researchers can share their experiences, observations and advice with future generations.

Our researcher Erika Andersson Cederholm participates in the book with the chapter "Lifestyle Enterprising in Tourism and Hospitality. Like several other researchers in the book, she also contributes a letter to future generations of researchers.

- I describe my research on small business in the tourism industry, what inspired me and why I was fascinated by the phenomenon of lifestyle business. The article is also about my path into tourism research, what has affected my academic career and how I view academic knowledge and its relevance. In my
"Letter" to current and future research colleagues, I write about a topic that is very important to me, namely research integrity, and why I think this is so important to discuss within the academy.
