Future week

Lund University’s Future Week 18-24 October offers exhibitions, lectures, debates and tours - on site and online. The theme for this year's Future Week is "Breakthroughs". What breakthroughs are needed in research and in society for us to be able to manage our future in the best way possible? What breakthroughs do we expect to happen soon?

The university’s researchers addresses this year’s theme through below events, and many others:

  • Breakthrough during the pandemic - what have we learned?
  • The big breakthrough in e-commerce - everything is now a “click” away
  • How do students see the future?
  • Sustainable tourism – about over-tourism and the future of traveling
  • Breakthroughs for a new type of leadership? - the possibilities of the pandemic and challenges

The week also offers talks about our climate - what climate decisions are needed at the EU level? What does climate science say about our future? A musical journey in the spirit of breakthroughs, upheavals and crimes mixed with exhibitions and tours at Skissernas Museum and in the Botanical Garden are also included in the program. The activities are held around Lund, on Campus Helsingborg and online.
