The Graduation Ceremony

All master students at the Graduation Ceremony

On Wednesday June 8, our master students, together with all graduate Master students at the Faculty of Social Sciences, had their Graduation Ceremony in the old University building in Lund.

This year the audience had the pleasure of listening to some great speeches. The commencement speech by Professor Ian Manners from University of Copenhagen gave a reflecting speech on life and work, but most important was his advice to all graduate students to find their own “superpower” to succeed in a world that is continuously changing.

At the ceremony, Sparbanksstiftelsen, also handed out a scholarship of 25 000 sek which 2016 goes to Victor Åkesson with the thesis Best-practice transport planning - a comparison between the U.S. and Europe.

After the ceremony, all graduate students and their closest family and friends enjoyed some snacks and bubbles in the entrance of the university building.
