AI, minorities and urban-to-rural migration in new episodes of the Crocus podcast

People in a podcast studio.
To the left: Inês Martins and Janine Pröll. To the right: Lourdes Beltran and Katja Lindqvist.

What are the current issues for cultural organisations and creative management? What research is being done on these issues? The CROCUS podcast delves into these questions and now four new episodes have been released in which master's students from the Service Management programme specialising in Culture and Creativity management share the results of their thesis work.

In the first episode, Inês Martins and Janine Pröll talk about their Master's thesis which examines the representation of LGBTQ individuals in film and the tensions within the film industry.

The second episode features Alina Dumea and Heejae Jun. They discuss their thesis which explores artists' perspectives on artificial intelligence and how AI impacts the art world.

In the third episode, we meet Lourdes Beltran, who shares her insights on the role of libraries as physical spaces. Her thesis focuses on how public libraries, specifically Idé A, Drottninghög library in Helsingborg, can function as both living rooms and libraries.

The fourth episode addresses why some artists choose to live in the countryside rather than in cities. Aniesha Goeslina Hawaningrum discusses her research on the factors influencing artists' decisions to move from urban to rural areas in the Skåne region.
