Sustainability seminar: Food choices in a social world: Exploring the power of social influence on behaviour change
Sustainability seminar on the topic of "Food choices in a social world: Exploring the power of social influence on behaviour change" with guest lecturer Dr Carolin Zorell.
This workshop delves into the subtle yet at times powerful ways in which social influence shapes everyday food choices, with a focus on its implications for promoting sustainable consumption. The session will begin with a brief presentation of recent research on if and how everyday interactions –whether e.g. at home, in restaurants, or in social networks– affect food decisions and how those choices can either support or hinder sustainable consumption. The session will then open up to interactive discussions and collaborative activities, encouraging participants to connect these insights with their own experiences and sustainability research. Join us to explore how understanding and harnessing the power of social influence can support transformative change in consumption behaviours.
Seminar 13-15, followed by a mingle in the fika room on E3.
