What is the best thing about your programme?
"The best thing about this programme is to encounter professors and colleagues from different backgrounds. The programme also helps us to develop critical thinking and offers us a good theoretical insight into management and cultural and creative industries."
Why did you choose the specialisation in Culture and Creativity Management?
"I have a background in international business and social anthropology and a great passion for events, crafts and multiculturalism. When I applied to this programme, I saw in it the potential of joining together my previous academic knowledge with my professional career and my passion for events and arts. I thought that I could finally get everything I love in one programme."
What do you think of the teaching style?
"I think that the balance between lectures and seminars is quite good. What I like the most is that every student is given the responsibility to build towards their own future by taking the time at home to deepen the knowlegde learned in class. I also like the fact that seminars are built in such a way that students are encouraged to share their own understanding of the different theoretical and practical issues read at home, generating debate and stimulating critical thinking."
What are you planning to do after your studies?
"I would like to continue in academia, possibly by doing a PhD and sharing the acquired culture with fellow students."
What do you do in your spare time?
"I spend my spare time with my family. I like exploring the surrounding areas, walking or cycling in nature and visiting cultural events."
What is it like to live in Sweden and what have you learned from it so far?
"By living in Malmö, I have had the great opportunity to meet a multicultural society and participate in several different events, most of them free of charge and offered by the municipality of Malmö. I have learned that Swedish people are very open-minded and tolerant towards immigrants, offering plenty of opportunities for integration and entrepreneurial development."
Do you have any advice for students considering to study at Lund University and Campus Helsingborg?
"Be as critical as possible when reading and focus on your studies, but do not lose the opportunity to build friendships and connections, and travel around this amazing country."
