The Arrival Day

Arrival day at Lund

Last week, on Tuesday the 15th, a little over 2 000 international students arrived in Lund. They are all here to study at Lund University and a few of these will study at Campus Helsingborg and The Department of Service Management and Service Studies.

On Monday the 28th of August, the autumn term starts, and nearly 50 master students at our international programme in Service Management, will begin their two year second level studies. But before they start, they will have the opportunity to take part of the university welcoming programme that includes trips to IKEA, seminars in "Cultural Adjustment and Swedishness", a Swedish food-tasting event, walking tours and much more.

During the Arrival Day, the Swedish news paper Sydsvenskan, was at Lund Central Station to talk to arriving students and had a breif chat with Anh Thrinh that will study Service Management.

Lund is a well-known university and is ranked among the top 100 in the world. I really wanted to come to Sweden and I hope to learn a lot in Lund, make new friends and get better in English. I will live in Helsingborg and study at the Campus there for at least two years.

- Anh Thrinh
