App Development during Social Media Workshop

This is the third year that tourism researchers from CLCS (Center for Leisure and Culture Services) and Lund University collaborate to develop a two day workshop on social media for students at their respective Service Management programmes.

Collaboration between Helsingborg and Copenhagen

The workshop, which takes place in Helsingborg and Copenhagen campuses, combines research on pop-culture, tourism, philosophical approaches to digital media, and design methodologies. Mia Larson and Ana María Munar coordinate this initiative with the help of Mads Bødker, who facilitates the design activities.

Business Intelligence and Big Data

This year Maria Lexhagen from ETour, Midt Sweden University, was the invited lecturer. Maria presented her latest research on business intelligence and big data. The students developed and presented services/product prototypes for six different fan communities:

  1. Star Wars
  2. World of Warcraft
  3. Cochaella
  4. Tomorrowland
  5. Harry Potter
  6. Skam (the Norwegian latest hit TV series)

After a close competition, this year's winner was a travel application for the World of Warcraft community.
